World-class photography meets world-class science for the first time in the heart of Zurich. Together, open your eyes, ETH Zurich and The Photo Society are creating a new communication format. The focus is on the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), a multinational compass to promote sustainable peace and prosperity and protect our planet. Spacious open-air installations intertwine photography and scientific knowledge to create a plea for tolerance and togetherness, borne of a humanist spirit. Through the aesthetic magic of the picture narratives, the gardens, streets and squares of Zurich are transformed into a picture city. The public space becomes a stage set for a Gesamtkunstwerk.
