Since 27 September 2026, new information requirements have applied to businesses selling goods to consumers. These are based on EU Directive 2024/825 on strengthening consumer rights, which was transposed into Austrian law by the Consumer Rights (Amendment) Act 2026. One of the new measures is a standardised EU-wide labelling system that provides information on statutory warranty rights and the associated rights.
