MY HUSBAND & ME, ME & MY WIFE is about identity, marriage, relationships, genetics, gender, sexual orientation, commitment, about youth and old age, digital manipulation and definitely about love. The persons shown are mainly married couples from 12 different countries, representing various ethnic groups and backing the project by their names. Some of them have been together for a whole lifetime, others only for some months. Each couple was photographed naked. The pictures were digitally manipulated and mixed, making them blur or seemingly disappear, until one can barely tell them apart. These pictures are mesmerizing; there is something marvellous in them, a feeling of fascinating strangeness, of both familiarity and awkwardness, challenging our prejudices and our ideas of two individuals that belong together and are yet entities of their own.
