Great news: ‘Aufgegessen!’ in the final of the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards 2025!

Congratulations to our wonderful authors! Our book ‘Aufgegessen!’ by Isolde & Dieter Bornemann has been selected as a finalist for the ‘World Cookbook Awards 2025’ and is thus one of the best sustainable cookbooks in the world – an international award that we are particularly pleased about.

‘Aufgegessen!’ stands for conscious enjoyment, appreciation of food and creative cuisine that combats waste – topics that are more relevant than ever.

The Gourmand World Cookbook Awards are considered one of the most prestigious international prizes for cookery, food and culture publications. Every year, they honour the best books in numerous categories – from traditional cookbooks and innovative concepts to topics such as sustainability and food culture.

In 2025, 848 books from over 180 countries competed in various categories. A place in the competition finals means that a book is among the best in its category worldwide and is recognised internationally by experts in the culinary industry.

The award ceremony took place from 27 to 30 November 2025 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as part of the Saudi Feast Food Festival, an international event for cuisine, nutrition and food culture. Authors, publishers, chefs and experts from around the world came together to honour the outstanding works.
