„2016 Humanitarian Award of the New York Global Leaders Dialogue” für Dr. Bindeshwar Pathak

Dr. Bindeshwar Pathak, Autor des Buches „Angels of Ghost Street“ wurde im Rahmen eines Galadinners im Harvard Club, New York mit dem renommierten Preis „2016 Humanitarian Award of the New York Global Leaders Dialogue” ausgezeichnet.

Recognized as a “humanist, social reformer and diversity champion”, Dr. Pathak has been given this coveted award in recognition of his momentous effort to enhance the quality of life for millions of fellow human beings. In his unique Proclamation in honour of Dr. Pathak, the Mayor of New York remarked: “I, Bill De Blasio, do hereby proclaim Thursday, April 14th, 2016 in the city of New York as: “Dr. Bindeshwar Pathak Day”.

During his USA trip, Dr. Pathak could also meet other important personalities like Hillary Clinton. He is ranked by The Economist (November 2015) amongst the World’s Top 50 diversity figures in public life along with US President Barack Obama, Angelina Jolie and Bill Gates.

During his U.S.A. visit, Dr. Bindeshwar Pathak, Founder Sulabh Sanitation and Social Reform Movement also paid a visit to Google headquarters in Mountain View, California on 18 April 2016.

Dr. Pathak was briefed upon how googler’s work, their workplace and culture, the footprint in the bay area and how Google supports employee wellbeing, etc. during the tour. At the HQ he got a look at some of the latest projects and researches being done at Google during his visit to the search giant’s headquarters.
