Exhibition opening in Bratislava

The opening of the exhibition DER TRAUM VOM FLIEGEN / 70 JAHRE FLUGHAFEN WIEN on 10 July 2025 at the Austrian Cultural Forum in Bratislava was a great success. The Austrian Cultural Forum was delighted to welcome a record number of visitors, who enjoyed an entertaining evening ‘Above the Clouds’.

THANK YOU to the hostess, envoy Sandra Diepenseifen, THANK YOU to the Management Board members of Flughafen Wien AG Dr Günther Ofner and Julian Jäger, to the Vienna Airport Leading Team Tillmann Fuchs, Peter Kleemann, Andreas Ladich – and to all those who contributed so actively to the success of the exhibition.

Embassy Counsellor Sandra Diepenseifen welcomed the numerous guests, the Head of Advertising and Marketing at Flughafen Wien AG Andreas Ladich presented the excellence of Vienna Airport and the curator of the exhibition and publisher of the book ‘The Dream of Flying’ Lois Lammerhuber described in impressive words why flying has always been a dream of mankind and how the photo project ‘The Dream of Flying’ took shape: “On 30 July 2024, eight internationally renowned photographers met at three o’clock in the morning with a team of fifteen experts from Vienna Airport. On 30 July 2024 at three in the morning, eight internationally renowned photographers met with a team of fifteen experts from Vienna Airport. For twenty-four hours, they explored and captured the life and people of this technical marvel with their cameras. The images follow the rhythm of the airport every minute.”
