The enchanting “Peace Image of the Year 2022” was taken by Indian photographer Sourav Das and shows an Indian village school in times of Corona. We had the honour of presenting the Global Peace Photo Award 2022 on Monday 14 November in the packed assembly hall of the National Council of the Austrian Parliament.

We were also pleased to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Global Peace Photo Award, which aims to use the means of outstanding photography to break a lance for peace.

The keynote speech of the evening was given by Alexander Cherkasov, representing the Memorial Human Rights Centre, which will receive the Nobel Peace Prize 2022 on 10 December in Oslo.
