The venue was the art library of the Sitterwerk Foundation, an art foundry founded by Felix Lahner in 1983 in a former textile factory, whose clients include the most important artists of our time such as Jeff Koons and the world’s most influential museums such as MOMA. This very special place was the ideal setting for Dagmar Varady, who presented her unique leporello book to the invited guests with a modest gesture. Hubert Gassner, Paolo Bianchi and Michael Hagner, as well as the book’s publisher, Lois Lammerhuber, were among the learned authors in attendance. A celebration for a work that is a work of art on the wall and is transformed as a book into its own exhibition catalog.
