Verena Andrea Prenner

Verena Andrea Prenner is a sociologist and photographer, born in Neunkirchen, Lower Austria, in 1982. For her artistic work she undertakes long-term sociological fieldwork and looks closely at various marginal groups because it is margins that define the centre. Out of this work she developed ideas and individual reflexions and views about societies, which she portrays with the help of volunteers and passers-by as staged photography.
