The Bayerische Staatsbibliothek acquires the photographic oeuvre of Volker Hinz

The Bayerische Staatsbibliothek (BSB) has acquired the photo archive of Volker Hinz (1947-2019) with around 1.3 million photographs. It includes Volker Hinz’s entire photographic life’s work for the weekly magazine “stern” as well as a large number of freelance works.

With this outstanding testimony to Germany’s photography, the library is further expanding its extensive picture archive, the largest in public hands in Germany. Read more on the BSB website…
