Jerome Gence feels the pulse of our time, traces digital trends and knows how to visualise them in an umparalleld way, he dresses them into images of sobering and at the same time compassionate clarity. Intuitively, he approaches his subjects with attentiveness and respect and, despite the intimate proximity to his models, maintains the concerned photographer’s balance between sympathy and reporting narrative. Inspired and encouraged by the French photography legend Éric Valli, Gence himself grew within a few years to become one of the important photographers of our time, which is not only reflected in publications in the world’s most important magazines such as National Geographic, Der Spiegel, Stern, Le Monde or Le Figaro, but has also made him a very sought-after guest at festivals. Canon was quick to recognize his talent and appointed him as a brand-ambassador in 2020.
