A Hymn to the Earth\u00a0<\/strong>is the second book in the series, after I Love Africa,<\/strong> the catalogue of the Festival La Gacilly-Baden Photo 2018<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Nature, Beauty, Photography\u00a0<\/strong>inform the success of the Festival Photo La Gacilly<\/strong>. Jacques Rocher initiated the Festival in 2004 at his birthplace of La Gacilly in Brittany. It is dedicated to the theme of humans and the environment. Deeply convinced that it is our duty to engage constantly with the future of our planet and to look for humanistic and sustainable concepts for handling nature and our coexistence, he developed the festival into a unique event. An event that, by bringing together photographic art and photojournalism, has set an international standard in societal relevance. In 2018 the festival opened for the first time in Baden bei Wien, complementing 14 years of work in La Gacilly, with Baden taking over the themes of the previous year in La Gacilly. A Hymn to the Earth\u00a0<\/strong>is the title of the catalogue of the Festival La Gacilly-Baden Photo 2019<\/strong>, which will run from 1 June to 30 September 2019 in Baden bei Wien. The festival wants to encourage visitors to engage with challenging themes of our times through their senses and to let themselves be astounded by the pictures of great photographic artists. Around 2000 photographs are being shown in a huge open-air gallery and in 29 exhibitions. The catalogue presents the essence of each exhibition and the philosophy of the festival.<\/p>\n
