Diego Ibarra Sánchez

Diego Ibarra Sánchez is a documentary photographer based in Lebanon. He sees photography as a possibility of engaging with our world in such a way as to encourage awareness and critical thinking. He firmly believes in documentary photography as a catalyst to shake up people’s conscience. All his work is shaped by a profound humanism and great respect for the protagonists of his picture narratives. Diego Ibarra Sánchez’ work Hijacked Education has been published by The New York Times, Spiegel, CNN and Al­Jazeera and was presented and praised at the photo festival Visa pour l’Image in Perpignan.
