Details

Thomas Crauwels discovered the Alps after moving from Belgium to Switzerland. Soon he started to explore the mountains, about which he knew nothing at the time. At his first ‘meeting’ with the Matterhorn in 2011, the peak was hidden in the clouds, which emphasized the mystery of this very special mountain. When the weather began to change, Thomas Crauwels realized how he might approach the magic of this mountain of all mountains: “In these fleeting moments, when the upheavals of the weather reach the mountain, my inspiration was tickled to search for those rare moments that reveal what makes the Matterhorn so special.” He realized the book by waiting and reflecting, intimating and acting. “The days at the Matterhorn allowed me to expand my artistic visions and to discover unexpected atmospheres and contrasts. THE ONE will continue to inspire and work its magic in me for the rest of my life.”
