Details

Nature, Beauty, Photography inform the success of the Festival Photo La Gacilly. Jacques Rocher initiated the Festival in 2004 at his birthplace of La Gacilly in Brittany. It is dedicated to the theme of humans and the environment. Deeply convinced that it is our duty to engage constantly with the future of our planet and to look for humanistic and sustainable concepts for handling nature and our coexistence, he developed the festival into a unique event. An event that, by bringing together photographic art and photojournalism, has set an international standard in societal relevance. In 2018 the festival opened for the first time in Baden bei Wien, complementing 14 years of work in La Gacilly, with Baden taking over the themes of the previous year in La Gacilly. Kilometre-long open-air galleries turn the city into an enchanting world of pictures and gardens.
